Michael is an avid storyteller, a writer, novelist, and filmmaker.
With a degree in Mathematics, Michael was a banker for many years before making the switch to the creative arts. He attended the prestigious New York Film Academy, then set up and ran both a media company and a cinema company in Lagos, Nigeria, all the while pursuing his passion for writing.
A storyteller focused on original African stories, Michael has gone on to produce the very successful 2-part movie THE ORIGIN: MADAM KOI KOI, which was released on Netflix in October 2023. He also wrote and directed the upcoming hit feature film HEADLESS, which explores the issues and complexities of a struggling filmmaker trying to make it into the big leagues of the Nigerian film industry. HEADLESS received the singular honour of being selected as the Opening Night Film at the prestigious Africa International Film Festival 2024.
Michael has written numerous original articles and short stories.
No More Tears is his first full novel, and it took 8 years to develop, research and write.
Michael is a father of three children and currently lives in Montreal, Canada.
